Branding built around how you want people to feel

Before somebody reads your website, checks your prices or speaks to you, your brand has already said something. We create strategic brand identities for North Wales businesses using colour psychology, audience thinking and thoughtful design, so the first impression feels deliberate rather than accidental.

A brand is much more than a logo

A logo matters, but on its own it cannot carry an entire business. Good branding is the system around it: the colours, fonts, imagery, layout, tone and little visual decisions that make people recognise you before they even see your name.

We build that system around the impression you actually want to create. Reassuring or energetic? Premium or playful? Clinical and precise, or warm and approachable? Once that direction is clear, every design decision has a reason behind it.

We do not start with “what colours do you like?”

We start with your customer, your industry, your competitors and the feeling your business needs to create. Your personal taste still matters, but it should not be the only thing choosing the identity customers see.

Colour theory, but used properly

Colour can shape first impressions and brand perception, but there is no magic chart where one colour means exactly the same thing to everyone. We use colour psychology as a strategic tool, then test it against your audience, industry, context and the personality of the brand.

Blue

Often associated with trust, calm, reliability and competence. Useful when reassurance matters, but it can feel corporate if handled badly.

Green

Can suggest health, balance, nature, renewal and growth. The exact shade can take it from earthy and organic to modern and technical.

Red

High energy, urgent, passionate and attention grabbing. Powerful in the right industry, but sometimes too intense where customers need to feel calm or safe.

Purple

Can feel imaginative, expressive, premium or slightly unconventional. Particularly useful for brands that want to avoid looking too predictable.

Yellow

Bright, optimistic and energetic. It attracts attention quickly, though softer or warmer yellows can feel very different from vivid ones.

Pink

Ranges from soft, caring and playful to bold, disruptive and confident. It is far more versatile than the old “feminine” stereotype suggests.

Black

Strong, sophisticated and authoritative. It can create a premium feel, especially when paired with restrained typography and plenty of space.

Neutrals

Creams, taupes and soft greys can feel calm, natural and refined, giving stronger accent colours room to do the emotional heavy lifting.

What can be included in your branding?

We can build a complete identity from scratch or focus on the pieces your business is currently missing. The scope is shaped around what you will genuinely use.

01 / DIRECTION

Brand direction

The personality, audience, positioning and emotional territory the visual identity needs to occupy.

02 / COLOUR

A considered primary and supporting palette chosen for the feelings, associations and practical needs of your brand.

03 / LOGO

Logo identity

A main logo plus useful variations where needed, designed to work from a website header to a social profile image.

04 / TYPE

Typography

Font pairings and hierarchy that reinforce the personality of the brand while staying clear and usable.

05 / SYSTEM

Supporting visual style

Shapes, patterns, graphic elements, image direction and layout cues that make the identity feel complete and recognisable.

06 / GUIDE

Brand guidelines

A practical reference showing how to use your logo, colours, typography and key visual elements consistently.

Our branding process

No endless moodboards for the sake of it. Each stage answers a question and moves the identity closer to something your business can actually use.

1

Discover

We learn what you do, who you need to appeal to and how you want the business to be perceived.

2

Define the feeling

We pin down the emotional direction: trustworthy, bold, warm, premium, playful, calm or something more specific to you.

3

Build the palette

We explore colour with psychology, industry context, contrast and accessibility in mind rather than picking shades at random.

4

Create the identity

Logo, typography and supporting visual elements are developed into one coherent system.

5

Make it usable

You receive practical assets and guidelines so the brand stays consistent after the project is finished.

New brand or rebrand?

If you are starting from zero, we can build the identity from the foundations up. If your business already has recognition, a rebrand needs a little more care. Sometimes the right answer is evolution rather than throwing everything away.

We look at what is worth keeping, what is sending the wrong message and where the identity has become inconsistent. The goal is not to make it different for the sake of it. The goal is to make it feel more like the business you are now.

Your brand should make the right promise before you say a word.

A dentist should not accidentally feel aggressive. A luxury service should not feel bargain-bin. A children's brand should not feel corporate. Visual choices create expectations, and we design those expectations deliberately.

Branding questions, answered

What is included in a branding package?

A branding project can include brand direction, colour strategy, logo design, colour palette, typography, supporting visual elements and practical brand guidelines. We agree the exact scope around what your business actually needs rather than padding the package with things you will never use.

Do you use colour psychology in branding?

Yes. It is one of our specialisms. We look at the feelings and associations different colours can create, then balance that with your audience, industry, competitors, accessibility and the personality of the business.

Can you rebrand an existing business?

Absolutely. We can refresh an identity that has become dated or rebuild it more substantially. Where your existing branding already has recognition, we will also look at which elements are worth keeping.

Is branding the same as logo design?

No. Your logo is one important asset, but your brand identity is the whole visual system around it: colour, typography, imagery, graphic style and consistency across every place customers meet you.

Do I need a new website as well?

No. Branding can be completely standalone. If you do need a website too, it makes sense to develop the identity first and carry it straight into the web design so the whole business feels consistent from day one.

Make the brand work everywhere

Once the identity is right, we can carry it through into the places your customers actually see it.
